Wow its been almost a full year since the last time i was on here it amazes me...... Well lets see school is bout 2 start back up again and I'm just waiting 4 it. I'm going into the 10th grade.... yeah new grade, new rules, new ppl its should be interesting. This summer had 2 be THE Best Summer EVER!!! & now it must come 2 an end. It will be hard but I think i can do it.

Albany High School

See the thing is, most of those kids that get into fights need to realize they need to grow up. Alright so you have an arguement with someone, well screw them, they're noone to you. I understand if someone touches you, or swings...anyone will fight back cause either way your going to get suspended for just being hit.

It's so damn EMBARASSING that Albany High has to be on the school everyday. I dont think any other school in our region has two cop cars and a paddy wagon out front and in the back. When you tell someone you go to Albany high now they act as if they feel bad for you or something.

This shit needs to stop............

Colonie is worse than Albany. They've got like, drug sniifing dogs and everything, but do you ever see them on the news? Not even once. And it's every news channel. I was watching ABC yesterday and it was the top story. Like they have nothing better to do than ruin the reputation of one of the best schools I've ever been to (and i've been to a lot). I also saw us on channels 9, 6, 13, and 8.

All they do is focus on the bad stuff that goes on. They never report on the good stuff. Like our sports teams, clubs, music programs, and other school stuff like IBO or Career outreach.

And it sucks because people don't even get their facts straight before talking shit about AHS. Whenever I tell someone I go there, they remind me that it's a horrible school and that I'm better than that. And I'm just like "WTF?! Have you ever been there? You don't know what the fuck you're talking about!" And I don't think I'm better than AHS. Because we ARE the best. End of story.

Absolutely!
Not to mention these "Security Checks" that only happen like once a week at MOST
and only like every 10 kids gets checked.
And not to bring race, color, or religion into it,
but I've seen more black kids get checked than anyone else, especially the white kids.
I mean, I'm a junior now and I've been throguh about 25 of those checks, and I STILL have NOT been searched ONCE.
If you ask me, that's a little ridiculous.
I think that AHS is being way too hypocritical saying that they're "doing everything possible to make Albany City Schools the safest they've ever been."
Hmmm...okay. Then why has it taken them 3 shootings, 5 stabbings, countless arrests and unnumerable fights to take any action?
The only reason they have done what they've done so far is to keep the Board off their backs and to try to make themselves look good in the eye of the immediate public and the media.

This shows that the Albany High School students aren't all bad.
We all want to feel safe when we go to school and we all want a chance to be not necessarily proud, but at least comfortable saying "Yes, I do attend Albany High."
It's pathetic, because the suburban areas such as Bethlehem, Guilderland, Voorheesville, ect. feel sympathetic towards us because we attend AHS.
I say it's about time that we stand up as the student body and tell the school what we REALLY think and want. We all want a say in what happens in our school and we all want to be able to at least have a representative for the majority of students and we are tired of being ignored and having our safety and security jeopordized because the school wants to look good.

The stupidest thing they could've done was to check the whole school. I missed two and a half class periods waiting to get checked, just to find that I was the absolute last student to get checked before the last courtyrad fight happened, when they let the rest through without a search.

And FOX also pulled me over for an interview, I'm sick of Fox right about now, because of all the negative things their putting out there about us. When I got interviewed I told them what they wanted to know, about the lockdown, about the new rules. I don't think they were very happy when I told them I felt safe here and that there's more to our school than the bad stuff that ALL news stations are putting out there. I don't plan on seeing my interview on the news.

I'm starting to get really pissed off. I think eventually people will start giving up on AHS altogether. I mean, is it really worth the hassel to get an education there? I think it is, because some of the smartest people I've ever met have come out of there and gone on to do great stuff, but other people maynot see it the same way.

Issues With Stereotypes

ok so today and yesterday I just kinda noticed something. Now we all know that Stereo types suck right. Yeah well if you haven't figured it out yet im white ok and I hang out with mostly black kids. And I don't really have any white friends. And then there are like 4 groups of ppl. You can either be with the gangstas (mostly black), preps(mostly white), punks(mostly white) or you can be with the losers which is different colors ecthinicty and all that good stuff. So then theres me I dont really fit in any where because I have friends in each social group. And im white and I like all types of music and I have all different kinda of freinds and blah blah blah. And to be in one of the groups you need to just be like everyone else and only really like what fits your stereotype. So for ppl like us its really hard to stay with friends and as i've just figured out it even affects who you go out with or who likes you just based on what social groupd your in. So that's how life is and you can't really change it so I don't really know what im goin to do. That's all I feel like saying for the moment cuz i'm just so confused and just lost right now.

Dumbness

I felt soooo dumb on Friday. It was 8th period and I 4got my book again...so I tried going to my locker. I went down the hallway and when I got 2 the end realized I was on the wrong side(my locker and class were both in South House) , so I went down to the other side and im looking all over and I couldn't find my locker..... finally I found it and got what I needed. Then when I go out of that hallway I couldn't remeber where my locker was. So im looking all over for the numbers and I think I found my hallway but it was odds. So Im flipping out like where the hell did the hallway go. Then I turn the corner and there's the class. So I come in and homework has been checked so I got a zero for that day I was sooo madd. The teacher was just like where were you? And I said at my locker. And then she asked where my locker was and I replied I dunno. Cuz for real I didn't which is really really sad. Then today in class she asked me about it how I got 2 class today so quickly (my 7th period class is right next door)and I had to explain to her the story about how I got lost.

Last Day Of Summer

ok so 2day is the last day of summer and it really SUCKS! And the worst parts are that Im going to be a freshmen well wait actually thats not so bad cuz I know im not gonna get beat up cuz im not a dumbass. But anyways PAST that still I have a project that I have 2 do. I mean come on now a project for school over the summer what idot came up with that idea?

On a different note yesterday I came up with an idea about how 2 get my iPod to play songs out load like with speakers. I took a speaker form this radio thingy I have (and it came with a plug 2 it to) and plugged it into my iPod well whala now I have a speaker or my iPos I was soo happy. : )

And no I am off 2 go and try 2 do my project............
